Six and a half years ago U.K. film student Rebecca Brown began a selfie-a-day project documenting her life. Rebecca is now 21. She began the fascinating study when she was just 14 years old, in 2007.
She has now compiled roughly 2100 pictures into a video on her Youtube channel. The resulting video is very moving and documents her battle with depression, anxiety, and an impulse control disorder, a form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), known as trichotillomania.
The result is a fascinating study of a 14 year old girl growing up and becoming a young woman.
Trichotillomania is a disorder that causes a person to pull out their own hair when anxious or stressed.

The background music is beautiful as well.
The physical transformation is mesmerizing to watch, but Rebecca leaves an important message for her viewers in the comments section.
“Beauty is more than what we see with the eyes. People are more than their conditions. I am more than my hair and skin. This only shows my exterior, I hope that people will check out my videos to see more of the girl inside,” she writes.
Rebecca says that the project is ongoing and she plans to continue it as long as she can. We are looking forward to her next video.
